Hello, I’m evolving.
Who am I? It’s a question that still feels challenging to answer, even after 50 years I’m still trying to figure it out. That’s why I created this blog: to explore and discover more about myself while sharing my experiences with you.

What I can tell you is this: I was born in Kent, England, and was fortunate to grow up by the sea in the South-East. I’m a traditional English soul, with a love for a good cup of tea, beautifully crispy battered cod with a hint of vinegar, and, of course, the satisfying crunch of a pickled onion.
As a sibling of four extroverts, I realised quite quickly that I was the opposite: someone who found comfort in solitude and creating imaginary worlds. This often made me feel different. While they thrived on performing and being in the spotlight, I was content to remain a quiet presence in the background, where I created places where only my imagination and I existed.
Growing up in a large family, there wasn’t the financial means to send us to university, so I began my career at a young age. My professional journey has been quite unconventional compared to most. I started as a designer in Research and Development at a toy company, where I was able to express my creativity. It was there that I discovered creativity’s many aspects, including my enjoyment of solving business challenges. This realisation led me to transition into marketing within the gaming industry. Unexpectedly, my personal life opened a door to an entirely new opportunity—I became a seismic navigator, a role I had never envisioned. This experience eventually guided me to the maritime supply chain, where I spent over a decade. Throughout my career, I’ve tackled hard choices and reached milestones that I thought were beyond my capabilities. Yet, by persevering through both the highs and lows, I succeeded in whatever I set my mind to. I am pleased with the decisions made, as this has laid the foundation of my careers and shaped the person I am today.
For whom
Today, I’m boarding on a journey to deepen the understanding of myself, and I want to share that journey with you. My aim is twofold. First, by documenting my experiences in this blog, I’ll create a space to reflect on and track my own growth, much like a personal journal. It’s a way for me to look back and see how far I’ve come. Second, I’m aware that self-development is a shared experience; many of us are on similar paths. By sharing my stories, I hope to offer insights that might resonate with others, helping them in their own journey of self-discovery.
